Leanne Hewens of Leanne Allison Designs
✨ Happy Shop Small Sunday! ✨
This week, we shine the spotlight on the wonderful Leanne Hewens of @leanneallisondesigns. (Go and give her a follow!)
Leanne has many years of jewellery making under her eco-friendly belt. All her pieces are hand made in her backyard studio, “Annwyll”, on the Mornington Peninsula and it is created from as many recycled, reclaimed or sustainable elements as possible including recycled sterling silver, sea glass and vintage beads.
Not only is she gifted when it comes to jewellery, she’s also an incredible painter. She uses watercolour and gouache (which are a little more eco friendly!) onto cotton rag paper and then embellishes them with her signature inky lines. Although Leanne sells a handful of her original works, many of them are turned into prints, stationery and accessories.
If she wasn’t already an absolute superstar of an eco warrior, she also does the printing in house to cut down on her carbon footprint and the rest is done via eco friendly printers or print on demand companies to minimise waste.
